History
Barangay Tal-ot is previously a sitio of barangay Mantalongon. According to the previous barangay captain Faustino Pabroa long time ago there was a huge "TAL-OT" tree who grew in the hacienda owned by Don Vicente del Rosario who then at that time a sugarcane farm. Because of its size the shade it gives became the reason why people start to gather around the tree and they start to build up chairs and became their standby place.

The Hacienda Del Rosario gives people job opportunities and in 1980 the hacienda finally closed because of the sudden decrease of sugar price in the market. Dading Larrazabal who manage the hacienda became the Barangay Captain of Mantalongon.

On the year 1968-1969 sitio Tal-ot became officially a barangay. Farming is their source of income.
